Radhika Arora
Radhika Arora is a multi-faceted Kathak exponent, performer and teacher. Radhika was born and raised in the beautiful pink city of India, Jaipur. She is the Founder of Samanvay Centre for Performing Arts. She is a professionally trained Kathak Artist under the renowned Kathak Guru and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award winner, Dr. Shashi Sankhla Ji ( Disciple of Late Nrityacharya Shri Kundan Lal Gangani ) of Jaipur Gharana.
She has been awarded the National Senior Scholarship by the Centre for Cultural Resource and Training, New Delhi in the field of Young artist Scholarship program launched by the Indian government in the session 2018-2019. She has Nritya Visharad and Nritya Alankaar from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyala Mandal, Miraj. She also holds a Master's degree in Kathak from Indra Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya.
She has been awarded Junior Research Fellowship in Performing arts by UGC for pursuing PhD in Kathak. She is currently pursuing her Phd in Kathak dance from Subharti University.
Notable Performances and Festival Highlights
Radhika Arora has showcased her talent in various prestigious events and festivals across India. She has performed solo at The Neemrana Fort, Rajasthan, and delivered a captivating solo Kathak recital at the Navapallav Young Dancers Festival in Delhi, 2022. Her performances include the production "Jayati Keshavam" based on Dashavtar, choreographed by Guru Dr. Shashi Sankhla, presented in Jodhpur under the auspices of Sangeet Natak Akademi, 2022. She has also graced the stage at Udai Shankar Ballet and Nritya Samaroh, 2019. Radhika's solo Kathak performance at Yuva Shastriya Sangeet Samaroh, 2022, further highlighted her versatility. She has performed solo at Nrityathi in Kerala, organized by Navneetham Cultural Trust, and at multiple rotary events. Her extensive festival appearances include Guru Naman 2019, Momaser Utsav 2019, Akshay Patra Mandir, Nritya Fest, Katha Ballet Festival, Rajasthan Mahotsav 2019, and Ustad Allaudin Khan Sangeet Samaroh to name a few.
Additionally, she has delivered lecture demonstrations at various Kendriya Vidyalaya schools across Haryana, sharing her expertise and passion for Kathak with the young minds.
